Founder of Goose Lax, Coach Selena is the Head Coach of the Girls Lacrosse Team at Atlantic Coast Highschool. As a JAX local, she played at Mandarin Highschool, and then went on to play DII lacrosse in Salisbury, NC for Catawba College.

Selena enjoys growing the game and giving the new generation of athletes opportunities to better themselves on and off the field.

Co-Founder of Goose Lax, Coach Pete is the Head Coach of the Boys Lacrosse Team at St. Joseph’s Academy. Coach Pete grew up in northern Virginia where he played football and lacrosse at Paul VI Highschool. He then went on to play DI lacrosse. His coaching career began with DC Generals Club as a defensive coach, and as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Paul VI.

Pete is now building the lacrosse program at St. Joseph’s Academy where he laid the foundation for both the girl’s and boy’s team. He enjoys utilizing the sport to help mold our next generation into great people and even better athletes.

Coach Marisa is the Head Coach at Sandalwood Highschool. Coach Marisa grew up in Colonie, NY where she played DIII lacrosse for Elmira College. She now lives in Jacksonville where she enjoys growing the game of lacrosse, and emphasizing the fun you have and the friendships that are made.

I played lacrosse my senior year of high school at St. Joseph Academy and returned as an assistant coach after graduating. I also participated in the Jax beach women’s summer league. I enjoy watching girls develop a passion for this sport and hope to help grow women’s lacrosse in Jacksonville, FL!

Goose is our angel baby that left us way too soon. She loved playing lacrosse with her dad, Coach Pete. To this day she motivates us to be our best selves, and to soak in every bit of happiness lax can bring us.

Goose still holds the record for most ground balls in a practice.
